What: All proceeds go toward the Mulitpurpose Comminity Center in Masii. The MPCC is part of what God is doing to assist in the rescue of children orphaned by the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Kenya.
Two of the five buildings are completed and are being used to serve the children and the community of Masii. In addition to the Multipurpose Hall and the Medical Clinic, the completed Center will have Dormitories (housing for children at the Bible Camps and other events during the year), an Instructional /Office Building, and a Library.
The vision is that the Center will be completed by the end of 2010.
How: The Golf Marathon is part of a giving campaign to invite those who hear about the Tumaini story and sense God’s prompting to participate.
Why: Tumaini is not about buildings, it’s about the kids. But the buildings are needed to serve the children effectively and provide a ministry center from which the work can be directed and expanded.
The 2009 Golf Marathon is just one of the ways in which we are trusting God to provide the funding required to complete the MPCC.
